Version 2026-09-30. Written for Weflyn. You do not need an account, and you can read these pages without knowing how the site works. This is a working draft for product launch — not a substitute for a lawyer. Have Utah / US counsel review before you treat it as final.
What this is
Weflyn is a website for local music. People keep public pages, post Clips, message friends, and find or list nights. A night is a gathering this site also calls a show.
A Clip is a posted video that may run from a brief moment to a full song, or a still photo.
These rules explain real risks, what we expect, and what to do when something goes wrong.
This page supplements the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. It is not a substitute for emergency services or professional help. You can read it without using the site.
What Weflyn is — and is not
Weflyn helps you discover profiles, clips, and nights. We do not run the night, own the venue, hire security, check IDs, verify every user, or guarantee that listings are truthful or safe. Public venue pages are not publicly offered at launch.
Friendships, band memberships, and comments are not endorsements. Treat online connections like strangers until you know them in trusted settings.
Before you meet in person
Meet in public when you can. Tell a friend or family member where you are going and when you expect to be back. Prefer daytime or known venues when you do not know the host. Arrange your own transportation. Do not rely on strangers for rides home.
Leave immediately if the place, crowd, or people feel wrong. Cancel plans that turn sketchy. Do not share your exact home address, school, or workplace in private messages with people you do not trust.
Bring a charged phone. Know the address you are going to. Look up the location beforehand.
If you are under 18
Tell a parent or trusted adult your plans before meeting people from Weflyn or attending a night. Avoid going alone to private homes with strangers. Leave early if anything feels off.
Join at 13+. Being listed in a band lineup, meaning the list of who is confirmed as playing in a band, is 13+. Marking I'm going, meaning marking that you plan to attend a night, and hosting a night require 16+ on Weflyn. Under 16, you can browse, post clips, and be in a band — you cannot agree to be somewhere in person.
People 18 or older cannot send a friend request to anyone under 18, except that at 16 or 17 a shared confirmed band lineup can allow it. Direct messages only work after both people are friends.
Clips a person under 18 posts can appear in a public feed of local clips, not only on their own page. Assume other people, including strangers, may see them.
Sexual harassment, assault, and consent
Harassment, unwanted contact, coercion, and assault are never okay on Weflyn or at scene events. Respect boundaries. Stop if someone says no or seems uncomfortable. Do not use the platform to pressure anyone into meetings, images, or acts.
If you experience or witness assault or immediate danger, get to safety and call local emergency services (911 in the U.S.). You can also report through Weflyn when signed in. Reporting helps us act; it does not replace police or medical care.
Violence, weapons, and emergencies
Do not use Weflyn to threaten violence or organize harm. Do not bring weapons to resolve disputes.
For fire, medical emergency, active violence, or immediate danger: call 911 (or your local emergency number) first. Use Weflyn reporting afterward when it is safe.
Scams, fraud, and fake listings
Watch for fake nights, ticket scams, pay-to-play fraud, impersonation, and requests for money, gift cards, or crypto. Weflyn does not hold ticket money for DIY listings in the current product — be wary of off-platform payment pressure.
If a listing has no real address, keeps changing details, or pushes you to a secluded location, do not go. Report it.
Drugs, alcohol, and impaired judgment
Nights may involve alcohol or other substances subject to local law. Hosts and attendees are responsible for compliance with age, licensing, and safety rules — not Weflyn.
Never drive impaired. Do not accept drinks or substances from people you do not trust. Look out for friends.
Online safety and grooming
People may lie about age or intent. Be cautious with flattery, secrecy, requests to move to other apps, or pressure to meet alone. Block and report suspicious behavior involving minors immediately.
Do not send intimate images to people you do not trust. Non-consensual sharing is prohibited and may be illegal.
If you host a DIY night
A DIY night is a gathering a band listed itself, such as a house, backyard, or park. Only list a real night at a place you have permission to use. Put honest age, entry, and alcohol notes. Cancel the listing if the night is cancelled. Do not bait people to empty or unsafe addresses.
Publishing a night means people may show up based on what you wrote. You are responsible for the space, crowd, and night — not Weflyn. Hosting requires a published band with at least two confirmed members, Terms acceptance, and a host safety acknowledgment. That is not insurance or a safety guarantee.
Photography, clips, and consent at shows
Ask before filming or posting close-ups of audience members, minors, or private spaces. Some venues restrict recording. Respect performers and crowd privacy.
Mental health and crisis support
Weflyn is not a crisis line. If you or someone else is in emotional crisis or considering self-harm, contact local emergency services or a crisis hotline. In the U.S., you can call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
Not allowed on Weflyn
Fake or bait nights; harassment; threats; stalking; scams; doxxing; hate targeting; sexual content involving minors (zero tolerance); illegal uploads; non-consensual intimate imagery; or using private messages and listings to lure people into harm. Band pages and Clips are for the scene — not for bait.
Report, block, and staff response
Block people who bother you. Report fake nights, harassment, underage concerns, threats, spam, and related harm from profile, show, clip, comment, or message surfaces when signed in.
Staff review reports and may dismiss, warn, remove content, unpublish a night, restrict features, or suspend an account. We do not promise a specific result or speed.
Illegal content and law enforcement
We prohibit illegal content, including child sexual abuse material. We may remove it, ban accounts, preserve records, and report to authorities as required. Counsel should confirm any NCMEC or similar reporting duties that apply to Weflyn.
